On February 14th, the sky cleared up. The reporter followed the team from the Hongjiang City Federation of Literary and Art Circles to the Xuefeng Mountain National Forest Park in the city to dream of ice and snow and welcome the Winter Olympics.

Treading through the snow to climb the mountain, just to catch a glimpse of the "charm" of the snow-capped peaks. Looking down at the mountains through a drone, the entire landscape is covered in a layer of white snow, and the snow-capped peaks and the Heavenly Lake are as beautiful as a bright mirror. Under the clear blue sky and bright sun, the "Ice and Snow World" is like a dream, seemingly turning into a beautiful fairy tale world, presenting a magnificent scene.

When you open a map of China, Xuefeng Mountain is located in the central area where the eastern side of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau transitions to the Jiangnan Hilly region, stretching across the western part of Hunan Province. It serves as the natural landscape between the east and west of our province, as well as the watershed between the Yuan River and the Zishui River. With numerous faults and folds, it has formed a raised mountain range over 1,000 meters above sea level. Together with the Greater Xing 'an Range, Taihang Mountains and Wushan Mountains, it serves as the dividing line between the second and third steps of the terrain in China.

Xuefeng Mountain is a heroic mountain. Hat Ridge, with an altitude of 1,487 meters, is the highest peak in Xuefeng Mountain National Forest Park. A huge rock stands on the summit, with the three characters "Hero Mountain" engraved on it. Seventy-seven years ago, during the Xiangxi Campaign, the natural barrier of Xuefeng Mountain blocked the last advance of the Japanese invaders. Chinese military and civilians killed over 30,000 enemies here and achieved a great victory at Xuefeng Mountain.

The Hat Ridge at an altitude of 1,487 meters

Hat Ridge is the best spot to watch the sunrise on Xuefeng Mountain. Photography enthusiasts set up their cameras here to capture the magnificent scene of the sunrise and the sea of clouds. At the foot of the Hat Ridge, the water surface surrounded by several small mountains is frozen by the low temperature, like a suspended mirror in the sky. People call it "Heavenly Pool". The "Bird's Nest" homestay beside Tianchi Lake is built along the mountain, presenting a "fairy tale world" of southern ice and snow before your eyes.

Descend along Tianchi Lake and you will arrive at the "Kuaiji Guanyun" viewing platform. Here, the view is expansive, with all the mountains in full view. The sea of clouds rolls beneath your feet, and you face the highest peak of Xuefeng Mountain, Su Baoding, across the sea. The sun slowly sets here, and the mountains are bathed in a golden hue, creating a breathtaking scene of "snow-capped peaks at sunset".

Under the blue sky and bright sun, Xuefeng Mountain is dreamlike and magnificent.
